  4. Absolutely loving your posts! We adore Spain, especially Andalucía. Our last trip was all about painting watercolors in Los Pueblos Blancos. Looks like we need to visit Órgiva next time.

    • Thank you. Orgiva is a great place to base yourself – especially for the white villages, the beach (35 minute drive) and of course Granada which is 1.5 hours on a bus or 55 minutes drive. And the scenery here is gorgeous.

      • We normally stay in or near Estepona because it’s so close to Casares, Gaucín, etc., but you’re posts are inspiring us to reach out. ¡Gracias!

  5. This weekend, we leave for our sixth trip to Orgiva in about ten years. We love it and reading your blog has left me looking forward to our trip even more. How lucky you are to be able to spend longer than our fortnight.

  6. Hi. I’ve just found your blog. My wife and I are moving to Orgiva as soon as we’ve sold our house. We’ve been five times before on holiday and have friends who live in the cortijos down near the river. I look forward to reading your posts.

    • Hi Alen – you don’t need us to tell you you’ve made a great choice! If you’ve only just recently discovered conjamon spain there are over 300 posts – we’re coming up to our 2nd anniversary. You can sort posts too by the links on the right of the page ‘Orgiva’ ‘Books’ etc. Good luck with the move and make yourself known when you’re here.

  7. Hi. Found your blog while I was researching the area for our 5th trip to Spain, our 1st to the Alpujarras. Great info and organization. We’ll be there in September near Orgiva for 10 days then on to Begur on the Costa Brava with friends. It’s always terrific to find local commentary for our trips, so we’ll be relying on your insights and information. Keep up the good work.
