If you’ve stuck with this blog throughout the year, thank you. And if it was discovered recently, thanks again. We really enjoy writing it, even though the regularity of posts sometimes goes down a gear or two. It’s been a busy year, you see.
We’ve also enjoyed reading other blogs out there; some crackers if you look – just avoid the ones that look flashy and get loads of likes by fellow-minded bloggers (think ‘Women’s Institute members admiring each other’s scones, for writers’).
We don’t often sing our own praises but someone recently told us our blog had ‘more originality and wit than all the blogs in Spain put together.‘ Aw gee, thanks *blushes*. It’s not true of course but, without sounding like actors at a film awards ceremony, a thumbs up once in a while makes it all worthwhile *blubs uncontrollably into tissue*.
And to think, sometimes this blog is just about an often-ignored, working town in Las Alpujarras – Órgiva if you’ve not been paying attention.
How can anyone not love this region? It’s beautiful, inspiring and full of wonderful people and places.
So, 2014 is almost over, here are some of our favourite posts from the year. In no particular order:

A piece of the Alhambra in London
