Well, almost – it was in the nearby orchard. Possum has upgraded his hunting skills from voles to metre-long snakes. So that’s great. Thanks beautiful boy.

O. M. G!!!!! Runnnnnnnnnnn!
Considering M once put his hand through his bedroom window ‘escaping’ an imagined snake in the room, he did quite well. Shame we didn’t film it. The snake leapt in the air to escape Possum’s gigantic claws. Sweet dreams!
Interesting that you saw the cats staring – that’s how we spotted Possum and knew something was up…
When ever we have had snakes in our house our cats have been curious but wary. And can I just say the man of the house has stepped back and let this woman deal with the serpents!
WHAT!!! In your house? That’s it, we’re leaving.
What’s more, ‘being wary’ was the last thing from Possum’s mind. Oh dear.
Yes, we once had one hidden wedged behind a mirror in the living room. Only knew it was there as the cats were staring at the mirror. Husband handed me broom handle and backed out of the room…. 🙂
Did he get it through the cat flap all in one piece?
We watched lovingly as he crept up on a ‘vole’ by a tree stump and then got into an almightily wrestling contest with the snake. Why are cats interested in them??!!
They wriggle about and appear uninterested. Perfect combo for getting a cat’s undivided attention…
